HELP NEEDED – OUTREACH SERVICE OPPORTUNITY

Can you spare an hour or so to deliver flyers to help neighborhood kids have a better summer?  We need several volunteers to deliver 250 flyers to the Rosemeade Townhomes (1 block south of the church) inviting neighborhood kids to attend Vacation Bible School and our summer lunch program L.A.M.P (Lunch And More Pals).  The Townhomes manager has approved this project and all you have to do is place the flyer on the door. Any day within the next week will work.  The more volunteers we get, the easier it will be to complete the work.  Please contact Vic Sassone (vicsassone@aumchurch.org or 214-789-4173).  Thank you!

Raising money for Mission Trip!!!

Summer Mission Trip   Eureka Springs AR       July 7-13                Total Cost  $289    Final Pay due July 1

In the small towns and rural areas around the Ozark Mountains are people who quietly live in deplorable conditions with little hope of change. Youth groups will find this summer mission camp heartbreaking at first as they see the destitute conditions in which people live, but that work will soon become heartwarming as they see the difference they can make in someone's life. Reaching out to help these struggling families fix and maintain what little they have brings them a message of Christian caring and service that will warm their hearts. Group projects during this summer mission camp will be a mixture of roofing, painting, wheelchair ramp construction, and general clean-up and repair.

Lodging: Groups will stay at a retreat center with bunk style housing, dining hall, meeting areas, hiking trails, basketball and sports fields. All meals are provided except for two lunches and two dinners during free time plus the meals during travel to/from destination.
