Introduced Sherpas & Sirdar
Adult Volunteers needed. Discussed importance of roles and descriptions for Fundraising Coord. & Events Coord. Fundraising is done to decrease cost to parents for mission trips, and to fund outreach programs/events. Events Coordinator contacts other parents or does research for Lock Ins, Youth Madness Week, Christmas Party and other events decided upon.
Snack Supper Sign up distributed. Confirmation Parent to contact to set date. 10 parents volunteered to provide snack supper for youth & Confirmation.
Proposed Calendar for 2008/2009 reviewed. Food Share, SMU Football game highlighted and teens excited. YLW date discussed. Calendar appeared at first sight to be in agreement for the coming school year.
New T-Shirts, ordered from same person who provides t-shirts for Children’s Ministry and the earlier Youth w/Cross t-shirt. Hanes or Gildan brand, cost at or below $10 with two color instead of 3 color and no sleeve print. 36 order minimum for discount. Color to be decided by youth during Base Camp (Color voted on per Base Camp Election was Sapphire blue with white writing. Positive response from parents & youth regarding the t-shirts.
80/80 Club – Description of club. Total points needed for 100% is 76. 61 points = 80%. This year there are 7 additional points required to meet for Blaze Meeting to encourage attendance.

Future Blaze Meeting day/time. Calendar had date marked for 2nd Sunday throughout the year due to beginning date of Sirdar/Director. Decision was to keep as 2nd Sunday, review for discussion in Sep Blaze meeting. Next Blaze Meeting Sunday, Sept 14 at 4pm
