New Business:

Mother’s Day fundraiser discussed.  In the past we have purchased red roses from Sam’s Club and sold them for Mother’s Day.  It has brought in about $250 for the fundraiser, however, it has very little participation by the youth.  There is a concern for the ability to get the roses at a discount rate to make a profit for the fundraiser in 2009 due to the economy.

Trunk or Treat:  Is this something another ministry is considering for 2009 or perhaps as a church wide fall festival?  With greater visibility from the street & Kroger plus the bonus of Halloween falling on a Saturday, bounce houses, carnival games and trunk or treating could occur and end by 8pm to allow for other parties and trick or treating in the neighborhoods for younger kids.
