Youth Council Meeting Minutes

80/80 trip dates - June 14-6/16.

Ø  51 points by end of May needed to qualify. Brandon welcome to go - prorated pts since began attending in January.

Ø  There is a conflict several of the boys due to Philmont pre-trip.

Ø  PSAT class ends 6/14 at 12:30, so will decide if all leaving that late or if students taking that test leave later.

Ø  15 passenger van available from Vietnamese church - will be serviced prior to trip.

Ø  Sea World, Riverwalk

Ø  Coker UMC - gym, showers, kitchen

Ø  Scrip table counts as 2 pts for youth, 2 for parent

Ø  will need food, souvenir $$

Little Brothers/Sisters Mentor Program

Current youth volunteered to welcome newly confirmed into youth group. Guidelines to be sent out soon with names.

Fundraising

Ø  RoughRiders - $395 earned

Ø  Scrip - $275.23 earned to date. 62% regular orders/reloads, 38% from inventory. Really need     people doing regular monthly orders (walmart, grocery stores, subway, starbucks,     target).  TELL      PEOPLE ABOUT IT - shopwithscrip.com

Ø  CFA calendars - just under $100

Ø  Parents' Night Out - $200

Ø  Cici's - $35-$50/mo

Club AYM - Cathy to secure replacement teachers for SS. No more Tuesday nights for now. Possibly Wed. nights in the fall. 

Mission trip - 7/7-7/13

Ø  $715 for van rental

Ø  Nursing Home visit - The Corinthians was suggested since Caitlyn Elliot's grandmother lives there.
